levamisole hydrochloride uses/what is levamisole hydrochloride used for
Levamisole is used to treat infections of the worm. Levamisole is a veterinary drug used primarily for the treatment of worm infestations in livestock. Experimentally and historically, it has also been used to treat various autoimmune disorders and cancers in humans.
levamisole hydrochloride dosage
50 mg orally every 8 hours for 3 days (starting 7-30 days post-surgery). May be given as maintenance therapy for 3 days at 2 week intervals for 1 year.
levamisole hydrochloride + praziquantel
This product is a broad spectrum anthelmintic for use in the treatment and control of nematode and cestode infections in sheep. It is highly effective against mature and developing immature forms of nematodes, including lungworms and against adult forms of tapeworm in sheep. It should be used in cases of parasitic gastro-enteritis and lungworm disease caused by those organisms sensitive to treatment with praziquantel and levamisole hydrochloride.
